Mark David Hall: “Roger Sherman and the Creation of the American Republic”

When thinking of the foundations of America, George Washington, John Adams, and Alexander Hamilton are common names brought to mind. But what about the name Roger Sherman? Join Cairn’s PPH program as speaker Dr. Mark David Hall highlights Sherman’s contributions to the creation of the American Republic and considers why such a significant founder is largely forgotten today.

Dr. Mark David Hall is a professor at Regent University’s Robertson School of Government and previously served as the Herbert Hoover Distinguished Professor of Politics at George Fox University. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Wheaton College (IL) and a Ph.D. in Government from the University of Virginia. A leading scholar on religion and the American founding, Hall is the author of Did America Have a Christian Founding? and Proclaim Liberty Through All the Land, among other works.
